To represent yourself on your blog, you can use a photo you already have OR create an avatar. An avatar is an icon or figure that represents you.

There are many avatar generators on the web. After you create your avatar, save it to your desktop or flashdrive or other location but make sure it is saved as a JPEG file.

Some to try:

Upload avatar to your  blog OR set a picture as your avatar:

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Click users>
  3. Click Your Avatar
  4. Browse to find your image wherever you saved it and click upload.  This is your comment avatar. Move the edges out or in if you need to crop the image.

If you want your avatar to appear on the sidebar of your webpage:

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Appearance
  3. Click appearance
  4. Click Widget
  5. Click Blog Avatar and drag to your sidebar.

To upload the avatar:

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Blog Avatar
  4. Browse to find your image and click upload. Go to your blog page and refresh. Your blog avatar should appear on your blog now.

If it  looks like a black square then you haven’t cropped the image to the correct size. Or maybe you didn’t save the image as a JPEG .
